The Dashper kidnapping
"Some time before he died, my father Frederick Charles Dashper told me of a kidnapping in the family many years earlier. He seemed to think it caused some problems, and had something to do with a Barrister. The account has been verified by Edward Geoffrey Dashper, but no one seems to know much about it. I would be intrigued to know more details if anyone has them."

Mystery solved. The person who was kidnapped was James Dashper (B: 1929). No more details are available at this time.
