WEDDING BELLS

____________

The nuptials of Mr Ernest Edwin Dashper (son of Mr Gilbert John Dashper, Clerk of the Peace for the city of Lincoln, England) and Miss Maggie McNair (youngest daughter of the late Mr Archibald Bruce McNair, of Renfrewshire, Scotland) were solemnised on New Year's day at Holy Trinity Church by the incumbant (the Rev. White). The bride was prettily and tastefully attired, and the dresses of the ceremonial attendants are worthy of the same remarks. The bridegroom's popularity in musical and amateur theatrical circles evoked the contributions of many valuable presents, one of which was a handsome presentation from the heads and his fellow officers of the Railway Department. At the reception a great many friends assembled, and congratulations and good wishes flowed in an endless maner, after which the happy couple proceeded to Uitenhage where the honeymoon is to be spent. Mr and Mrs Dashper have our heartiest congratulations.
